I am a San Diego & Los Angeles based photographer. My passion for photography can be traced back to my days studying cinematography at San Diego State University. I learned the power that light and shadow play in the mood and tone of an image and as my studies progressed, I continued to fine-tune my skills. Lensing, modeling, and mise en scène became part of my toolbox when telling a story or expressing an idea visually.
In 2012, I began working for veteran Hollywood film producer, Sigurjón Sighvatsson. He happened to be an avid fine art collector and his knowledge and passion spurred me to head towards the photographic and fine art avenue of visual storytelling.
While my images look great online, I believe that my art is better experienced with a tangible item. There is nothing like the weight and feel of a photo printed on archival quality fine art paper, guaranteed to last generations. I offer a number of different pieces, all printed on archival quality cotton rag (paper). For those less interested in the the fine art aspect of my work, I still offer beautiful images in a digital format. As your needs will be different than many of my other clients, I encourage you to drop me a line with any comments/questions/concerns you may have so that we can work out an appropriate package that you'll love! - MDG
